One of the greatest most challenging journeys you may ever go on is seeing what your body is capable of. Maybe you are in shape, completely out of shape, or just looking to lose some weight. Nonetheless, developing a body that you can be proud, one that's healthy, and permits you to truly love every last piece of it really is a wonderful journey to try.

So what is the secret to making an enduring change with your body?

Consistency and commitment.

There's nothing else like coming to the table every single day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don't start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you may become lackadaisical and discouraged. Instead, really try and understand you are contesting with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But every time you do, you should come back with a firm dedication to achieving something you really wanted. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field each and every day. Without it, you'll suffer the the inevitable and bad reality of many new years resolutioners who give up each and every single year on developing the body of their dreams because they do not have the personal power to keep on coming back time and again.

Commitment also suggests itself, but not the commitment that you're possibly thinking about. In our world, we are fed this idea that everything must occur at this time and if it does not occur now, it is not worthwhile. Your body is going to change throughoutthe years, so why not make a real lifelong promise to remaining healthy? Is that a sexy packageable idea? Not particularly. But is it something that would actually change the course of your life? Definitely.

When you make a pledge to keeping your body healthy all throughout your whole life, you may eventually reach whatever goal you wish. It is all about seeing the overall picture than simply the few months in front of you until summer. It's about developing something you can be pleased with for all the years to come. For me, that idea changed the course of my life as I was able to eventually hit my health goals after 12 years of wrestling with my body image and food issues. But as soon as I shifted my perspective of what I was trying to attain, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it's working for you. Make a lifetime commitment to keeping healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term as well.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all sides of your life, and things will change radically.
