When we go on holiday during the summer one of the problems we face is what to do with our hair during our vacation.
The first obstacle is the sea and the damage caused by the salt water. This type of water is often found to be good for our complexion but has an opposite effect on our hair. Did you know that the salt often leaves our hair dry as the moisture is drained rather retained. A way round this happening is for certain cosmetics to be added to your hair which improves the more you massage into your scalp. The basis is that oils will be prevented from entering each strain leaving your hair shiny and healthy instead of limp.
You can take a few hair masks with you on holiday in your suitcase as they do not take up much room. Apply them when you g after your swim in the evening and before long you will notice the difference. First of all apply to dry hair then rinse and apply to wet hair, easy process.
Your next hurdle is the swimming pool as most of them are filled with chlorine. Bad news if you are a swimmer with dyed hair as the chlorine destroys all the colour leaving you literally with green hair.
Solution for this is to use fantastic products to fix any long term damage by using anti pool chlorine products which are amazing at turning your bad hair day around. An alternative is to use a cap but not everyone likes wearing one as they consider this to be old fashioned.
One of the things which you do not think of when going on holiday overseas is the tap water. Some of the locations such as Scotland has naturally fresh water pumping through the taps whereas England has water with lime scale which is often referred to as hard water.
Scotland as an example has fabulous fresh water supplied from their lochs which is suitable for drinking and also washing your hair leaving it looking healthy and shiny.
